This book tells of the unusual life path of the author, Victor Friedman, who for many years combined scientific work in the field of mathematical geophysics with music, engaged in theater, jazz musicization and Russian romance. The book describes the meetings and creative communication of the author with outstanding representatives of Russian culture over the past half century. These are the memories of Oleg Dahl and Lyudmila Ivanova-Milyaeva, about Bulat Okudzhava and Sergey Nikitin, about Alla Bayanova and Nani Bregvadze, as well as many other wonderful contemporaries.
The book is reprinted with additions to the new author’s edition with the assistance of the Alla Bayanova Cultural Heritage Fund
