This book is the memories and thoughts of a person of a bright and difficult fate. S. A. Tyushkevich, born in the year of the Great October Socialist Revolution, devoted his whole life to the service and protection of the Fatherland. In July 1941, he volunteered in the ranks of the Armed Forces and is still in service.
An important place in the book is occupied by S. A. Tyushkevich’s reasoning about the Great Patriotic War and the Great Victory of the Soviet Union over fascism, their place and role in history.
