The book presents a fictional biography of the outstanding state and party figure of the USSR - Mikhail Ivanovich Kalinin. The origin of the Tver peasants, who went through the school of a metallist worker who worked at many enterprises of Petersburg-Petrograd, Mikhail Kalinin came to a conscious choice of the path of a revolutionary, the leader of the labor movement. In the turbulent years of revolutions and the formation of the country of Soviets, he became the only manager of the entire Soviet economy - the chairman of the All -Russian Central Executive Committee, and then the President: the chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
