Memories F.P. Rerberg is devoted to the period that was not reflected in military memoirism, preceding the beginning of the First World War. In 1909–1912, the author commanded the 3rd Grenadier Perenovsky King Friedrich Wilhelm IV regiment deployed in Moscow, he tells about the life of the regiment, the officer’s daily service at the place of constant deployment, as well as during maneuvers and military training. The publication provides the reader with a unique opportunity to get first -hand information about the life of the Russian army in the last peaceful years before the war. They, of course, will be interesting to both professional historians and the reader who is interested in how the Russian army lived, including in Moscow, at the beginning of the twentieth century.
