He also acted as a critic, memoirist and historian of literature, Pushkinist. He is the author of a number of collections of poems and many works about literature. In 1922 V.F. Khodasevich emigrated from the USSR. At first, he lived with Maxim Gorky in Sorrento (Italy), and then settled in Paris, where he led the literary and critical section in the newspaper Renaissance.
