The book of memoirs of Baroness Maria Fedorovna Meyendorf (1869-1962) covers almost a century. It was a century of historical shocks that completely turned the life of her family, which belonged to the highest nobility. The reader will appreciate with what amazing calm and truly Christian humility the author accepts all the tests that have fallen to the share of the family. The memories were written not for the general public, but in the last years of life in exile at the request of relatives, which gives them particular reliability. Maria Fedorovna was not married, she had no children. But among its many relatives, a number of church figures known in Russia: nephew Bishop Vasily Rodzianko, cousin of Protopresviter John Meyendorf, granddaughter of Archpriest Nikolai Reberter.
