Ksenia Ernstovna Levashova-Stunkel (1886–1961) studied painting in the workshop of Ilya Mashkova, took lessons from Alexander Kuprin, for many years was friends and corresponded with Vasily Masyutin. But her memories are mainly covered by the private life of the Moscow family and contain the most valuable material on the history of everyday life of the beginning of the twentieth century: home life, gymnasium, balls, festive festivities, and city life. The field of vision also fall into the highest female courses, the birth of the art theater, the lectures of Ivan Tsvetaev. Deep self -reflection, combined with the spontaneity of experiences, the accuracy of historical details and the artlessness of the letter, give special charm to the artist’s memoirs
