The memoirs of Count Louis-Victor-Leon de Roshevar (in Russia-Leonty Petrovich Rosheshuar), a Frenchman who was in Russian for ten years, a participant in the Russian-Turkish war of 1806–1812, the Patriotic War of 1812 and the foreign campaigns of the Russian army - an interesting literary and documentary monument to the first quarter of the XIX century. Being a nephew of the legendary governor of Odessa Duke Richelieu, Rosheshuar left the bright sketches of this city in his memoirs.
