The book presents the biography of the great Russian proletarian writer Maxim Gorky (Alexei Maksimovich Peshkov) Early knowing the unrestraint and the hardships of life in tsarist Russia, Gorky earlier Lenin joined the revolutionary movement, but with caution reacted to his course on the revolution, anticipating its premature and unremarking the masses to the grandiose transformations that really took place. But, including creative processes in the country, he had a great influence on the formation of the ideological and aesthetic principles of Soviet literature and was the founder of socialist realism. Being an example of inimitable veneration and authority in world practice, nevertheless, like many other outstanding personalities, did not escape the persecution and undeserved repressive actions of Stalin.
