The book of the Yakut writer and publicist Oleg Sidorov tells about the dramatic fate of Maxim Kirovich Ammosov (1897-1938), a well-known political and public figure, who stood at the origins of the statehood of the three Turkic republics of the USSR: the autonomous Yakutia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. His life, full of adventures, ups and falls, broke off early: in the 1930s, Ammosov became a victim of a “big terror”. The author considers the biography of M.K. Ammosov a new, modern look, not burdened by ideological stamps, shows his outstanding role in the formation of the young Yakut Republic, in the transformation of the life of its people
