The book is dedicated to an outstanding football player and coach Valery Vasilievich Lobanovsky (1939-2002) The number one coach in Soviet and then Ukrainian football, recognized as one of the greatest innovators of this game around the world, was a difficult figure, always, with any government, remaining himself - and above all, a professional in the highest class. Its directness and fundamentality did not suit many - and partly this was the reason for the emergence of various rumors and speculations around him, and sometimes a frank lies. The author of the book, a sports journalist and historian Alexander Gorbunov, who knew Valery Vasilievich closely and was friends with him, debunk these myths, telling about the personality of an outstanding coach and leading many new, previously unknown facts regarding the history of domestic sports
