The desired freedom, which was dreamed of in a camp hut, returned the right to normal existence and became the beginning of a new life, but did not save from the terrible ghosts of the past, or from pain due to the inability to return what was forever taken away by his own. The book saw the light in 2008, fifteen years after the publication of the first part, and withstood a number of reprints, was translated into German. Based on the book in St. Petersburg, the performance was staged, Tamara Petkevich became a laureate of several literary awards: "cool staircase", "Petropol", Gogol Prize.
