The monograph is devoted to the life and activities of Christopher Semenovich Ledentsov, a famous merchant, thinker and philanthropist. On the beings of H.S. Locomotive funds were organized by the Society for the Promotion of the Success of Experienced Sciences and their practical applications. From 1908 to 1918, the Lypen Society supported outstanding researchers: N.E. Zhukovsky, K.E. Tsiolkovsky, I.P. Pavlova, P.N. Lebedev and other scientists and inventors. H.S. Ledenetsov created the original philosophical system of innovative development of the economy. He was also the creator of the first pawnshop in Russia, to maintain socially unexplored segments of the population. He financed the expansion of the pharmaceutical campaign "Fereyn" to national scale. A museum of assistance to work was created at Lesentsov"s expense. At the museum, the Central Bureau of Trade Unions was organized.
