The name of the sculptor and artist Khan Orlova (1888–1968) is not in Russia, although it worked a lot and fruitfully and lived a long creative life. She was born and raised in the south of the Russian Empire, in 1905 she fled with her family from pogroms to Palestine, and in 1910 she sat on the Yaffo-Marcel steamer to embody her dream-to become independent and live in Paris. Then the khan was hardly assumed that she would become a famous sculptor, make friends with Modigliani and Susutin, she would pose the famous contemporaries, and museums of many countries will acquire her work. Khan Orlova always carefully protected her personal life, there is no more or less complete biography.
