Alferova (1930-2019) cover the entire life path of a scientist and public figure, his thoughts on the history of Russia and its current day, about domestic and world science of the 20th century, talk about its discoveries and the creation of a new type of educational institution - the National Research Academic University, bearing now the name of its founder. The author recalls his friends, colleagues and contemporaries who left a mark in his life.
