There are many fables about the institutions of noble girls. By the will of modern authors, the institute every now and then find themselves in the epicenter of intrigues, they are abducted by hussars, because of them they shoot at duels and end the life of suicide. The reality was completely different - but no less interesting. In this book, the word is given to the "noble girls" himself: here the most interesting memoirs are collected here - the genuine stories of female institutions that existed in different cities of Russia for more than 250 years. Among their authors, both quite loud names, and completely unknown, about which, in fact, we know only what they say about themselves. Institutes in details describe the life, classes and traditions of their "Alma Mater". More than a hundred years have passed since the first publication of the vast majority of memories included in the book. Since then, they have never been reprinted, especially since they were not gathered under the same cover.
