“I am from the Fire Village” - a documentary collection of memoirs about the destruction of Belarusian villages and partisans during the Great Patriotic War, collected and composed by Belarusian writers Ales Adamovich, Vladimir Kolesnik and Yanka Bryl.
The book includes only those people, who personally survived the tragedy of burned villages, the murders of relatives and villagers. For a survey of eyewitnesses, writers for 1970-1973 traveled with a tape recorder of 147 villages in 35 regions of Belarus and recorded memories of more than 300 direct participants in the events
