This is a book about ego-document (documents of personal origin) and a book from ego documents. Its empirical foundation was 12 unique wartime diaries, written by representatives of the wide typological spectrum of participants and victims of the war - two Red Army soldiers in the army (specialized and penaltyman), one collaborator, three prisoners of war, four Ostarbeters and two persons who survived the occupation, including one ghetto prisoners. Equipped with the necessary scientific apparatus, the same diaries are full -fledged autonomous publications, saturated with unknown or little -known events, details and angles. Such documents themselves are an extraordinary rarity, and their authors undoubtedly heard the call of history and experienced the strongest internal need for their jurisdiction.
