The book is dedicated to the history of life and professional activity of Grigory Nikitich Vyatkin, the leading master of the arms chamber of the 17th century. The author of numerous magnificent works that make up the glory of Russian weapons, the mentor of many students, Grigory Vyatkin managed to form his school of creation and decoration of firearms in the weapon chamber. Based on archival sources and material monuments from museum meetings, the author tries to recreate the biography of the tsarist gunsmith in the context of the history of the functioning of the court weapons workshop, in which Grigory Vyatkin served for more than half a century. The application published a number of important sources in personnel and priority areas of the Armory Chamber.
