Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich, aka Sandro (1866-1933), the uncle and peer of Tsar Nicholas the Second, was his friend and Shurin, married to the Grand Duchess of Ksenia, the father of the six sons and daughter of Irina, who married Felix Yusupov.
A charming aristocrat and a cheerful, wise man, a sailor, admiral and creator of Russian military aviation, he knew and understood everything, and in the image of thoughts he is more modern than many of us.
In this volume, both books of the memoirs of the Grand Duke are included in this volume. The first book is first published here with the restoration of all the numerous bills of the political and intimate properties that Russian emigrants in Paris made in 1933.
The second book telling about the years of emigration was translated specifically for this publication
