Yuri Vasilievich Bondarev - writer and screenwriter, participant in the Great Patriotic War, the most famous representative of Lieutenant"s prose. According to his works, the films “Hot Snow”, “Battalions ask for fire”, “Silence” and many others were delivered. In the summer of 1942, after graduating from school and military school, Yuri Bondarev fought near Stalingrad, then participated in the forcing of the Dnieper, the liberation of Kiev, Zhytomyr, Kamenetz-Podolsky, fought in Poland. He wrote about what he saw and experienced: “War is bitter sweat and blood, after each battle the decreasing lists of a regimental clerk, this is the last Tsigar, which is eagerly documenting, burning his fingers, a gunner, looking at the crawling tanks.” His memoirs show the harsh life of the war, heroic deeds and cowardice, suffering and pain - according to one of the reviewers, this is “a warplace, at a distance of a rifle shot”
