Reprint from the publication. SPb. 1906-1909. Nikolai Lutianovich (Konstantinovich) Podgursky (1877-1918)-officer of the Russian Imperial Fleet, Rear Admiral. Member of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–1905 Being a senior mine officer of the Bayan armored cruiser took part in the dashing exits and shootings of the cruiser with enemy ships. He distinguished himself in the land defense of the Port Arthur fortress. At the proposal and led by Podgursky in mid -August 1904, mine (torpedo) devices were used against Japanese trenches. He led the use against Japanese infantry of ball sea mines is the first edition of memoirs in the form of a book. In 1906-1909 Memories were published in several numbers of the magazine Military Collection.
