In the annotation of the first edition of the book "from seventy to a hundred. Reflections and memoirs" noted that the author, a well -known sociologist and writer who has reached solid age (in July 2014, he turned 80 years old) shares his impressions and thoughts about the old age, memories of the events that preceded it and its accompanying. It was emphasized that the conclusions made in the book can be interesting to everyone, but especially young, not thinking about this inevitable stage on their life path. It was to them that the author addressed his book in the first place.
Preparing the second edition of the book, the author took into account the fact that in Russia there are a significant number of long -livers, including crossing the age -old age line, and therefore the name of the book was somewhat changed. Now the book is called "from 70 to 100 and further ...". At the same time, the thoughts and memories remained and its focus on the youth remained.
There were photos in the book illustrating the author’s ideas about active old age.
