The book is dedicated to the last fifteenth anniversary of the scientific biography of the Russian historian, sociologist and philosopher Nikolai Kareev, 91850-1931) The central plot of research was the communication of the scientist with representatives of the French humanitarian science in 1914-1931. N.I. Kareev is known for his many higned works on universal history, theory and methodology of historical science, philosophy and sociology. The research attracted the attention of both domestic and foreign specialists, published and were noticeable in the world scientific, primarily French, space. Throughout the period of the biography of N.I. Kareev was an active participant in scientific dialogue. Odanko, with the outbreak of World War I in 1914, changed the forms of the scientist’s communication with foreign colleagues. This page of his creative biography is revealed by correspondence materials preserved in the scientist’s fund in the manuscript department of the Russian State Library
