Faces of Russian holiness

Russia is fantastically rich in saints. For every day of the calendar year, there are at least one, and more often several saints, in the land of the Russian shone. The writer and publicist Natalya Irtenina strives for all eras in the life of Russia and the Russian Church, including the past, to present through the prism of holiness. The chronicler Nestor and Vladimir Monomakh, Sergius of Radonezh and Andrei Rublev, Tikhon Kaluga and Trifon Pechengsky, Theodorite of Kola and Varlaam Keretsky, Serafim Sarovsky and Patriarch Tikhon, Holy New Martyr Tatyana Grimblit and many others became the heroes of the book.
