When the eighteen -year -old Felix Dzerzhinsky joined the revolutionary movement in 1895, he chose the pseudonym of the "astronomer as an underground nickname. When he died in 1926, friends and enemies respectfully called him "Iron Felix".
For some, he was creating the Cheka "Primvleskist" and the organizer of red terror. For others, the "ascetic knight of the revolution", which reanimated the Russian economy after the First World War and Civil Wars, fought corruption and homelessness. Who was he really? And in honor of whom were 1342 city objects of Russia, squares, streets, avenues and lanes named?
