A huge number of documentary material collected immediately after Pushkin’s death and selected in the form of a documentary consistent biography. Prepared for the publication of the complete works in 1855 Pavel Vasilievich Annenkov (1813-1887) - a Russian literary critic, a historian of literature and a memoirist from the noble family of Annenkov. For many years, he studied manuscripts, letters, drafts and drawings of Pushkin, collected memories of the poet. The result of this work was: the large -scale work “Materials for the biography of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin” and the book “Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin in the Alexander era” published in 1855.
