Diogenes. Greek sage

Before you is a book of 1910’s book, telling about the life of Diogenes and revealing the basic ideas of his philosophical teaching. At all times and centuries, all peoples had wise teachers who taught their righteous life. The teachings of many of them have reached us. Reading about them, we often forget what kind of labor, what suffering of the spirit and body he got this knowledge of truth. It seems to us that these sages were born sages, and sometimes even becomes enviable, which is why we were not born like that. Meanwhile, for the most part, the childhood of these people and the first years of their adulthood was the most stormy, not similar to what they later taught. And when we recognize their former life, we begin to understand how hard difficulty they got out on the true path and went along it. That is why it is instructive to know their story.
