Georgy Dimitrov (1882–1949) remained in the history of the XX century. As an unbending fighter against fascism, a leader of the international communist and labor movement, the national leader of the post -war Bulgaria. The activities of G. Dimitrov are less known to the Russian reader, aimed at mobilizing all the forces of the Comintern headed by him at the deployment of the anti -fascist resistance movement in Europe, to defend freedom and independence of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War. In the vast part of George Dimitrov, published for the first time in Russian, in the period from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945, the participation of communist and anti -fascist political emigration directly in the military operations of the Red Army, in intelligence, sabotage, propaganda work, work among prisoners of war, work among the prisoners of war. as well as in armed actions of resistance in the occupied part of Europe. This work continued after the cessation of the Comintern’s activities in 1943, when Dimitrov headed the Department of International Information of the Central Committee of the All -Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, to which a number of secret functions of the Comintern passed.
