For the first time published diary notes by Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Soimonova, translated from the French language of Alexander Lazursky, will interest the reader as a documentary evidence of Moscow life of the 1830s, rich in the mention of significant events of that time and a large number of people - relatives and friends of the Soimonovs, musicians, composers, singers, writers, Scientists, professors and teachers of Moscow University, military leaders - heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812, statesmen, representatives of the High Arstocratic Society. E. A. Soimonova wrote about the nearest Moscow environment by A. S. Pushkin, N.V. Gogol, D.V. Venevitinov, P. Ya. Chaadaeva, P. A. Vyazemsky, E. A. Baratynsky, F. I. I. I. I. I. Tyutcheva. From her diaries we learn about the musical and literary evenings and salons of Moscow, balls and concerts, which were also performed by the author of diary entries.
