Maria Belkin met Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva, who returned from emigration, in 1940. Tsvetaeva and her son Mur were frequent guests of Maria Belkina and her husband Anatoly Tarasenkova, a well -known critic and bibliophile. It was in their house that she kept her archive at a terrible time. Years later, Ariadna Efron came to Maria Belkina - from their conversations, memories, analysis of archives when publishing the posthumous collection of Tsvetaeva and this book was born.
"crossing of fate" is not memoirs and not a novel from Tsvetaeva’s life, not a study or documentary narrative - this is a bright and very personal story to Maria Belkina about her time, about an attempt by Marina Ivanovna, her family and children to survive in impossible circumstances.
