The oral memoirs of the artist Yevgeny Lang were recorded by Viktor Duvakin in 1969-1970. In them, she talks in detail about the little -known pages from the life of Vladimir Mayakovsky and his circle - about the time when she was a friend, and later the companion and muse of the great poet (1917-1918) In addition, Lang shares life stories in exile (in 1919 she left for Germany) and gives portraits of many famous people whom she had to meet in Europe: including Albert Einstein, Alexey Remizov, Rudolf Steiner, Andrey Bely and many other. The book was prepared by the Common Place publishing house in conjunction with the Oral History Foundation and timed to the 125th birthday of Vladimir Mayakovsky
