Alexander Ivanovich Guchkov is one of the largest politicians of pre -revolutionary Russia, a member of the State Duma and the State Council, the leader of the influential party of the Oktyabrists, in 1917 - the military and naval minister of the Provisional Government, since 1913 he also entered the military Masonic bed. It was Guchkov that was the author and organizer of the palace coup, the purpose of which was, using ties with a number of military leaders (M.V. Alekseev, N.V. Ruzsky, etc), to force Nicholas II to renounce the throne. In the early days of March 1917, the Guchkov plan was implemented, with the reign of Nicholas II and the monarchy in Russia was over.
