On the 100th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding philosopher, logic, sociologist and writer Alexander Aleksandrovich Zinoviev (1922-2006), his memories and thoughts "confession of the renegade" are published. This is not only a fascinating story about the amazing fate of a person whose life was full of dramatic, sometimes incredible events and adventures - this is also a deep philosophical and sociological analysis of several decades of Soviet and post -Soviet history. Calling himself an "eternal loner" and a "ideal communist", Zinoviev, the demanding critic of the socialism of the Soviet model, was no less sharp critic and liberal ideas of the western sense. He was called a “renegade” in the USSR.
But he was a renegade in the West. He failed to get rid of this label and among those who call themselves now "new Russian elite".
The publication is illustrated by photographs and copyright drawings from the writer"s home archive
