Club history-81

The book of memoirs "History of the Club-81" was written by Boris Ivanovich Ivanov (1928-2015)-a prose writer, a cultural scientist and a publicist.
In the center of "History of the Club -81" - the birth and life of the literary club, which set itself the task close to the impossible - to allow the unofficial Soviet culture of that time to get out of the shadows. On behalf of the cultural community of the Leningrad, which is not recognized by the authorities, Boris Ivanov, along with his like -minded people Igor Adamatsky, Yuri Novikov, Boris Ostanin, Arkady Dragochenko, the Podolsky and others began negotiations with the KGB. Negotiations on the thing are then almost unthinkable - about leaving the underground, creating what will be called "Club -81". In the difficult political situation of the early 1980s, the participants of the Club-81 decided to change the situation, rallying under the motto "Do not be afraid-the change of guard!"
Boris Ivanov, a responsible and reliable chronicle of his era, testifies to her "first lips". The book is full of living evidence and documents on the cultural life of Leningrad in the 1980s. This is an important contribution to the study of not so distant, but already slipping away from us in the history of Leningrad literature.
