Chronicle of the life and work of Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov

The recent 200th anniversary of M.Yu. Lermontov (1814-1841), one of the most mysterious and readable Russian authors, strengthened interest in the personality and creative heritage of the poet. New documents were published about his youth, Moscow and St. Petersburg periods, participation in military expeditions in the Caucasus, and numerous studies on his biographies and ways in literature were published.
The proposed book by V.A. Zakharova is a strictly verified chronological set of printed and archival data that have survived to our time. The reader will be able to trace the "life and works" of the poet, a warrior from year to year, from month to month, from day to day - in motion, evolution, growth. "Chronicle" is also an abbreviated version of a scientific biography. The publication makes it possible to find out the creative story of the majority of the poet’s works at different stages - from the appearance of the plan to the publication, to get acquainted with the correspondence of Lermontov, who gives so much to understanding his character, views, addictions, tastes.
