This work is devoted to the private issue: whether there was a fact of the adoption of a priest of the blood prince of blood by the imperial John Konstantinovich. It is considered in the context of the revolutionary events that occurred at the beginning of the 20th century and allows us to approach the assessment of the prince’s personality in one of the most dramatic periods of the life of the Russian imperial family. The work is based on archival documents, the correspondence of members of the Romanov House and their environment, the periodical of that time.
