The book is not entertaining. The book is a nervous nerve that molten metal is poured on, and which will force you to live every day of hell of the first Chechen company with the author. Everything is written simply and honestly. War through the eyes of a helicopter, as it is. Without camouflage, simplifications and licking. Pain, blood, dirt and death. Everything is as it is, how it was, which is now very rare. The whole text is written on such an emotional limit when you live it with the author, and there is no strength to read, because I don’t want to live this life, it is all against human nature. At the same time, it lovingly describes the amazing qualities of the great humanity of those who, in the most difficult circumstances, retained this humanity, with many touching observations, joking episodes, stories and interweaving, in the reality of which it is sometimes difficult to believe. The review of "Chechen notes" cannot be written, and it makes no sense. Literary criteria are not applicable here. It is such works that are called documents of the era. According to them, in the future, they will teach the latest history of Russia. They are the most objective sentence to the leadership of the state of those years.
