The monograph is the first in world historiography by a comprehensive study of the political and propaganda activities of the Action Francaise monarchical movement - an advanced detachment of French nationalism of the first half of the 20th century - directed against Germany as a “hereditary enemy” of France. The author considers the ideas and actions of irreconcilable Germanophobes in the context of the internal and foreign policy of France and its relations with Germany in the period from the “Dreyfus case”, when the concentration of the forces of French nationalism occurs, before Hitler came to power, which radically changed the situation in Europe. The study is based on a wide range of sources almost unknown in Russia
