Vladimir Solovyov knew Joseph Brodsky closely from the Leningrad times. Previous Tom "Joseph Brodsky. Apotheosis of loneliness" - the result of a half -century memoir and research work, when dozens of articles, essays and books about Brodsky were written by the author - revealed a piercing -boolery tuning fork of his life and fate. Not a triumph, but a tragedy that reached a bapto in poetry. The anniversary -Antiybileynaya book - for the 75th anniversary of the great tragic poet of our era - gave an exhaustive portrait of Brodsky and at the same time the key to the riddles and secrets of his work.
"Brodsky. A double with a stranger"s face "is not just a digest of a previous book, designed for a wider audience. Along with reductions in this version, significant additions are given, and it applies to both texts and illustrations. Although in some places the roots of the former anniversary publication remained - links to texts that are absent in this book. Well, the reader has the opportunity to turn to the previous publication "Joseph Brodsky. Apotheosis of loneliness", although it became a rarity. In many ways, this is a new book - plot, structurally and conceptual.
Although the name of one author is on the cover and title, it is inconceivable without Elena Klepikova - at all stages of creating a book, and not just in the chapters written by it personally.
I contributed a lot of work on the book a wonderful photographer and artist Natasha Sharymova. A significant artistic contribution to the design of the book was made by photographer Arkady Bogatyrev and artist Sergey Vinnik.
We thank for help and support at different stages of the work of Sergey Braverman, Sasha Grant, Lena Dovlatov, Evgenia Yevtushenko, Vladimir Kartsev, Gennady Katsova, Ilya Levkova, Zoya Mezhirov, Masha Savushkin, Yuri Seredina (Evgenia) Solovyov, Mikhail Freudlin, Nauma appropriate, Izuya Shapiro, Natasha Shapiro, Mikhail and Sarah Shemyakins, as well as permanent assistants of the author to collect information
x, y & z, which prefer to stay in the shade - nameless.
The book includes completely new, so previously published chapters in the latest author"s edition
