The prince of imperial blood Oleg Konstantinovich Romanov entered Russian history under the name of the bright prince. The great -grandson of Nicholas I, the son of the famous poet K. R. - Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich, he lived a short but so bright life that all intellectual Russia sincerely mourned about his early death. The military military personnel from childhood, gifted with passion and talent for literature, music and art, he graduated from the Lyceum and even the young man became the first publisher of Pushkin"s manuscripts. He died for 22 years, at the very beginning of the First World War, and his heroic death caused a lot of responses in the Russian press.
These responses are partially published in the application to a book written by N.K. Kulman, a teacher of literature and the eldest friend of Prince Oleg, a year after his death and published in 1915. Offering it to today"s reader, we proceeded not only from memorial motives: constant self-analysis, tension of spiritual life and high moral attitudes of a young man-prone are striking and can today serve as a good example of self-education for any person striving for this
