The director of the Norilsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant Boris Kolesnikov (1930-2003) is one of those who created the industrial power of the Soviet Union. Over the 15 years of its leadership, the largest non -ferrous metallurgy enterprise was transformed not only by its plant, but by Norilsk, which became the point of attraction of specialists from all over the country and rightfully called the pearl of the Arctic. At the same time, Boris Ivanovich was distinguished by a special, “Kolesnikov” style of leadership - thoughtful, attentive to people, not missing a single little thing. The first biography of the legendary director of the NGMK, written by the Norilsk local historian Stanislav Stryuchkov, is based on documents, media materials, memoirs of relatives and associates of Boris Kolesnikov
