The monograph "Biography and scientific heritage of the orientalist O. M. Kovalevsky" was prepared by the scientific team of orientalists of Kazan, St. Petersburg, Ulan-Ude and is devoted to the scientific activity of the Russian and Polish orientalist-monogram Osip Mikhailovich Kovalevsky (1800/01-1878), whose merits to before World science is huge.
As an excellent connoisseur of the Mongolian language, culture and history, he wrote a number of fundamental works on Buddhism, literature and the language of the Mongolian peoples. He owns the French-Russian-Mongol dictionary, in demand by experts to date.
