The memoirs of the Russian-German composer George von Albrecht paint the life of his family in Russia at the turn of the 19th-XX centuries, reporting rare or completely unknown historical details of the era, vividly convey impressions of outstanding musicians of his time: Taneyev, Glazunov, Scriabin, Prokofiev, Rebikov, Stravinsky , von Pauer, Hindemite, J. N. Davide and others. The book contains amazing stories when Albrecht’s life was supposed to end in the crucible of the civil war, but each time a wonderful salvation came.
