Ursula Vaidenfeld (born in 1962) mastered the economic history, germanism and political economy in Bonn and Munich. She worked as a correspondent in a weekly business news journal Wirtschaftswoche, and also led the economy and served as the editor -in -chief of the Berlin newspaper Tagesspiegel. In 2007, she was awarded the Ludwig Erhard award for his contribution to economic journalism. In 2017, her book “Government without a people” was published. Currently, Ursula Vaidenfeld is an economic journalist, as well as a moderator and commentator of television and radio programs.
Nobody has ever voluntarily left the highest post in German politics - except for Angel Merkel. At the same time, at the end of the last term of her authority, she once again managed to show herself an excellent crisis politician and get high grades according to public opinion polls. The Germans themselves believe that angel Merkel is pragmatic as much as Helmut Schmidt would like to be. She is little interested in ideology, beliefs, principles. She calmly committed immediately with several shrines of Christian democrats, such as military duty and atomic energy. Critics accused her of the only Merkel program to remain a chancellor.
