It is difficult to believe that such a consonant of modernity can be personal notes of a person who lived almost 2000 years before us. It is impossible to imagine that their author was the ruler of the Roman Empire. It is amazing that this is a presentation of the morality of a person who opposed himself to Christians and subjected their early communities persecution.
Mark Aurelius Antonin (121–180), as is commonly believed, developed and rethought the philosophy of the Stoic of Epicte (c. 50–138) However, his descendants were established in this opinion, and the philosopher himself, most likely, did not know about that: during hours free from public classes, he made personal notes that were published many centuries after his death. Recorded by Koyne, have repeatedly translated into Russian since the 19th century, which indicates an unhappy interest in this text
