On November 30, 2000, the Synodal Commission for the canonization of the Holy of the Russian Orthodox Church, having examined at its meeting, the ascetic works in the service of the Fatherland and the people of God, the pious life, righteousness, mercy and selfless feat of the charity of the Admiral of the Russian Fleet Fedor Ushakov, made a decision on counting He to the face of righteous local saints of the Saran diocese.
