The book is dedicated to the life and work of a prominent Soviet biologist and agronomist Academician T.D. Lysenko. It also covers a complex socio-political context in which the formation and development of Soviet biology took place.
It is shown that the group T.D. Lysenko was the guide of the line of the Stalinist leadership of the USSR on the acceleration of the applications of agricultural sciences to practice, which was sharply standing in front of the country in the 1930s and 40s, to fight against Eugenics in the 1930s, and to expand the patriotic movement in the USSR in the late 1940 -x -early 1950s.
