Academician N.P. Kondakov. Search and accomplishment

The scientific work of the great scientist, one of the main creators of the new discipline “Byzantine and Old Russian art” by N.P. Kondakov (1844–1925), as well as a number of his colleagues is dedicated to this collection. It includes both re -written essays and materials previously published in different publications, but specially modified again. The texts are based on documents stored in the archives of different cities: these are epistolary complexes important for the history of science and especially valuable fragments from the diary of N.P. Kondakov (including the page full of deep tragedy about his forced emigration from Odessa in early 1920, which are, which In many ways, they complement the famous book “Bunnins”) The main milestones of the life of N.P.
