The book of memoirs of the Major General of Aviation S.A. Vladimirov, proposed to the reader, consists of two parts. The first part includes three sections. The first of them describes the state of military aviation of the South-Western Military District, when the author in the rank of major actually headed the operational department of the Air Force. The second section tells in detail about the activities of the department in the early days of the Great Patriotic War, the organization of combat operations of aviation of the South-Western Front and the movement of command from the western border to the territory east of the Dnieper. In the third, we are talking about events that led to the environment east of Kyiv, and about leaving the enemy ring.
The second part of the book contains the author’s memoirs about childhood in the village of Kadanov on the banks of the Volga and studying at a rural school, and then in the gymnasium of the city of Kalyazin. Years of work are also described before being drafted into the army as a secretary, and then the chairman of the village council.
